Static Seals

Static seals exist where there is no relative motion between the two surfaces being sealed. Primary application requirements involve keeping liquid, gas or dust out.

The O-ring is usually the first line of defense in preventing leakage of gas, fluids or preventing environmental contamination. The O-ring is considered generally as a static seal however is utilized in a broad range of applications, environments and limited dynamic applications.

Parker Seal

Parker TechSeal® line of extruded rubber profiles feature small diameter precision cut seals and large diameter lathe cut seals. Extruded rubber profiles are made using a hot vulcanization process from standard or custom profiles. These profiles offer an effective and affordable solution for many sealing applications, and are especially useful when a large-diameter profile (too large to be molded) is needed, when hollow or unusually sized solid O-rings are needed, and as a source of low-closure force seals.
