Atlas Copco Compressed Air Dryers
When it comes to tools, machines and instruments, poor air quality will cause more breakdowns, repairs and replacements. In addition to the remedial costs, the resulting downtime and production delays are often far more expensive than any repair. Where the compressed air comes in contact with the product, the stability, scrap rate and final quality of the product can be significantly affected by contamination. Aside from the
costs to correct the situation, the potential damage to your product’s reputation can not be underestimated.
FX1 to FX13 and FD7 to FD1600 Refrigerated Air Dryers
The FX series is a low cost refrigerated air dryer available in capacities ranging from 23 CFM to 566 CFM. The FD series offers more in terms of options and is available in capacity ranges from 15 CFM to 3526 CFM. Some of the larger FD series units are available with VSD refrigeration compressors for increased energy savings.
CD2 to CD1050 and BD260 to BD3000 DESICCANT AIR DRYERS
When extremely low dewpoints are required for critical air purity or low ambient temperature applications, the Atlas Copco CD and BD dryers will fit the bill.
The CD series are heatless dryers with a capacity range of 4 CFM to 2226 CFM and dewpoints as low as -100 deg.F
The BD series dryers utilize a combination of internal heaters and an atmospheric blower for regeneration. Flow capacities range from 551 CFM to 6360 CFM.
MD Series DRUM-TYPE, HEAT OF COMPRESSION DRYERS
When matched up to its corresponding oil-free rotary screw compressor, the MD dryer is the most energy efficient means of drying air on the market today. This unique design utilizes the waste heat from the air compressor for regeneration. Unlike other heated air dryers or Heat of Compression dryers, the MD will not cause ‘heat bumps’ and associated dewpoint spikes.
Atlas Copco OSC and OSD Condensated Treament Systems
Oily water condensate - a poisonous mixture
The air compression process has a number of by-products, one of which is a large volume of condensate. Generally, this condensate is an emulsified combination of oil and water which, if left untreated, is extremely harmful to the environment.
Because of the potential damage this condensate can cause, strict regulations have been introduced that prohibit the disposal of such waste without rigorous treatment.
The OSC is a stand alone system and can candle multiple compressors. The unique OSD offers a condensate treatment package fully integrated into the compressor, reducing both installation costs and complexity.
Atlas Copco Compressed Air Filters and Electronic Drain Valves
Atlas Copco offers a complete line of coalescing, particulate and carbon type filters for compressed air applications. Zero-loss, electronic drain valves are also available to remove oil and condensate from the compressed air system.
